Ambulance, fire reports for July 5

MOUND CITY – The Linn County Commissioners were updated on emergency calls for ambulance and fire on Tuesday, July 5.

American Medical Response Inc. representative Louis Aloi reported that in the last seven days AMR had transported 32 people – two from Blue Mound, six from La Cygne, six from Linn Valley, three from Mound City, 12 from Pleasanton, and three from Prescott.

Aloi said that in the last four days the calls had really pumped up with the heat and the long weekend. In addition, he reported that the AMR staff had saved a cardiac arrest patient three days ago.

Linn County Fire Chief Randy Hegwald gave the commissioners the statistics for the last two weeks. There were 23 incidents, bringing the yearly total up to 279.
