CHC/SEK to host job fair at La Cygne library Thursday

Community Health Center of Southeast Kansas (CHC/SEK) will be hosting a job fair this Thursday, Nov, 4 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the La Cygne library, 209 N. Broadway. The health center is seeking both clinical and non-clinical workers to fill open positions.

CHC/SEK recently took over the Lincoln-Scott Townships Medical Plaza in La Cygne and is looking to hire people to work there as well as its other clinics.

CHC/SEK talent recruiter Kylie Shepard will be hosting the fair. In particular demand are nursing staff (RN, LPN), x-ray technicians, medical assistants and registration clerks. A complete list of open jobs is at the website, chcjobs.org.

Whether hoping to find a fresh start, a better job, or a new career direction, job seekers in the area can come to the fair to learn more about career opportunities at CHC/SEK.

CHC/SEK has clinics in Mound City, Pleasanton, and La Cygne and offers both full-time and part-time positions. Full-time positions include excellent benefits including medical and dental insurance, vision insurance, a 403b funded retirement plan, ROTH, Employer Retirement contributions, and 23 paid days off per year.

“We’re excited that the library is hosting us for this job fair,” says Shepard. “It’s an opportunity for us to meet more community members and give them an understanding about our health system, and what we can offer as employers. Our motto, ‘healthcare the way it should be’ applies not only to how we care for our patients, but how we care for our employees.”

“CHC/SEK strives to be an employer of choice, through our compensation and benefits, our work culture and our staff’s ability to grow within the organization,” Shepard says. “Applicants are highly encouraged to bring a resume. No RSVP or fee is required – just show up on Nov. 4 with your best foot forward!”
