MOUND CITY – Linn County Planning and Zoning Director Darin Wilson brought several zoning resolutions to the commissioners on Tuesday, May 31.
Wilson presented the first resolution which was a new plat for nine acres at 14994 County Road 1095, Mound City, for William Fields. Wilson explained that it had been split before into a 9.8-acre tract and Fields is wanting to split it again into a three-acre tract which requires it to be platted. The commissioners approved the resolution.
The next resolution was for a rezoning for Eugene Lanham. It is an 8.75-acre tract of land that is being rezoned from Agricultural to Agricultural Residential located east of Gwynn Road and north of 950 Road intersection. The reason for the rezoning is so Lanham can split it off and sell it. Because it is below the minimum acreage of 10 acres for agricultural, Lanham is requesting the rezoning. The commissioners adopted the findings of the planning commission and approved the rezoning.
Wilson presented a resolution for a lot split of 3.5 acres to sell or lease at 20416 County Road 1095, La Cygne, owned by Delores Stainbrook. It is presently zoned agricultural and requires a rezoning to Agricultural Residential due to being below the minimum acreage of 10 acres for agricultural. The commission adopted the findings of the planning commission and approved the rezoning.
