County ambulance report for April 11, month of March

MOUND CITY - American Medical Response (AMR) Operations Manager Galen Anderson reported the figures for the week ending April 10 and for the month of March to the Linn County Commissioners on Monday, April 11.


Anderson reported the total calls for March was 90 and 55 transports. Six patients were flown out by helicopter, one was severe respiratory distress, one unrelenting seizure, one confirmed heart attack, and three suspected stroke patients.


By city, the numbers are:

  • Blue Mound, 6 calls, 3 transports

  • Centerville, 1 call, 1 transport

  • La Cygne, 22 calls, 12 transports

  • Linn Valley, 9 calls, 5 transports

  • Mound City, 18 calls, 11 transports

  • Parker, 4 calls, 4 transports

  • Pleasanton, 24 calls, 15 transports

  • Prescott, 4 calls, 4 transports

  • one request for a transport that was not assigned to a city

The breakdown for commission districts are:

  • District 1, 36 calls, 19 transports, average response time 11 minutes 41

  • seconds

  • District 2, 27 calls, 19 transports, 9 minutes, 55 seconds

  • District 3, 26 calls, 17 transports, 18 minutes, 43 seconds


Anderson said that there were 18 transports for the week ending April 10.
