County employees to get pay increase, longevity pay

Updated: Dec 30, 2021

MOUND CITY – On Monday, Nov. 29, the Linn County Commissioners approved a 2022

3 percent cost-of-living salary schedule increase for all Linn County employees and a pay adjustment for most employees.

Linn County Clerk David Lamb said that commissioners had decided that they would not take the 3 percent increase cost of living. He pointed out the pay adjustments were for individual merit increases as requested by department heads.

The commissioners also approved a claim for $24,756 for longevity pay that will be given to most employees next week. Each employee will receive $25 for each year that they have worked for the county. The county started the longevity bonus several years ago.
