Updated: Mar 24

PLEASANTON – The Linn County Health Department will be offering COVID-19 vaccinations for children 5 to 11 years old at its weekly vaccination clinic this Wednesday, March 16.

Missy Lancaster, department director, said there are only 20 doses available for this Wednesday’s clinic. She told the Linn County Commissioners on Monday that she wanted to see about the demand before she orders any more.

She also said the department had 20 doses available for children 12 to 18 as well as more than 100 for adults over 18. There is no charge for any COVID-19 vaccination.

Those who want to get vaccinations for children need to call the department at (913) 352-6640 for an appointment. No appointment is necessary for the adult vaccinations. The health department is located at 11240 Tucker Rd. in Pleasanton.
