MOUND CITY – Linn County Commissioners approved a resolution presented by Darin Wilson, Planning and Zoning Director, to increase fees for building permits sanitation, zoning, subdivision, zoning appeals, signage and surveys on Tuesday, Jan. 17.

Wilson explained that he had been working on this with County Counselor Gary Thompson. A new building permit application was included in this resolution. The application requests more information than the previous application.

These fees are only for the unincorporated areas of Linn County, not the cities, said Wilson.

The new fees are:

Application Withdrawn After Notification but prior to Planning Commission Meeting: 50% of Base Fee

Application Withdrawn after Planning Commission Meeting: 0% of Base Fee
