Fire, ambulance report for week ending May 26

MOUND CITY – On Tuesday, May 30, the Linn County Commissioners received the weekly reports from the ambulance service and fire department.

The American Medical Response representative reported that there had been 23 page-outs during the past week with 14 transports and two helicopter transports. He said that AMR plans to have a fully dedicated staff for the Pleasanton motorcycle rally on June 3.

The fire report was read by Commission Chair Danny McCullough. There were eight incidents from May 22 to May 28. They were two motor vehicle incidents with no injuries, one confined space rescue, one smoke scare due to odor of smoke, one building fire, one cooking fire that was limited to the container, one fire in motor home, camper, or recreational vehicle, and one motor vehicle accident with injuries.
