MOUND CITY – The Linn County Commissioners heard the number of fire and ambulance calls that were worked last week on Monday, April 18.
Linn County Fire Chief Doug Barlet reported that there had been 18 fire calls the past week. There were eight grass fires, three brush fires, two natural gas leaks, two aircraft standbys, two dispatched and cancelled en route and one structure fire.
Barlet said the number of fire calls year-to-date was 195.
American Medical Response (AMR) Operations Manager Galen Anderson reported that there had been 16 transports in the last seven days. He said for the month of April there have been 34.
Anderson said that one of the AMR Linn County Operations Supervisors was going to Colorado Springs for a two-day leadership training. He said that by the end of this year all three supervisors will have attended the training.
