MOUND CITY – The Linn County Commissioners temporarily added additional duties to Amanda Snyder’s job at the Linn County Health Department with a temporary raise increase to about $16.34 per hour on Tuesday, Oct. 12.

Snyder will add supervisor-type duties including scheduling and signing off on bills. She will conduct these new duties until a new director is hired.

Presently, Snyder wears many hats at the health department as Healthy Start Home Visitor, the Breastfeeding Peer Counselor and clerical assistant.

Linn County Commission Chair Rick James will continue to be the official Linn County Health Officer until a new person is hired for that position.
