K-152 resurfacing project to begin in late May

The Kansas Department of Transportation announced on Thursday, May 17, that Kansas Highway 152 between Kansas Highway 7 and U.S. Highway 69 will undergo an overlay project beginning the week of May 22. (KDOT map)
CHANUTE – The week of May 22 the Kansas Department of Transportation (KDOT) expects to start a mill and overlay project on Kansas Highway 152. The 13-mile project begins at the junction with Kansas Highway 7 and continues east to U.S. Highway 69. Flaggers and a pilot car will guide one-lane traffic through the work zone during daylight hours.
Expect delays of 15 minutes or less.
KDOT awarded the construction contract of $2.8 million to Superior Bowen Asphalt Company LLC, Kansas City, Mo. Weather permitting, the road work should be finished in July.
