Kansas City man injured in rollover accident

MOUND CITY – An 18-year-old Kansas City, Mo. man was injured in a one-vehicle accident on Kansas Highway 52 near the intersection of Read Road on Thursday, July 21, when the vehicle he was driving rolled several times.

Gerald Brewster was driving a 2007 Jeep east on K-52 about 11:45 a.m. when the vehicle went off the road for an unknown reason. The driver overcorrected, which caused the vehicle to roll several times. The vehicle came to rest on its wheels on the south side of the highway.

Brewster was taken to a landing zone by a Bourbon County ambulance because all of Linn County’s ambulances were out on call. He was then taken by air ambulance to the University of Kansas Medical Center for treatment.
