La Cygne celebration combines Swanfest and fireworks

LA CYGNE – Hundreds of La Cygne area residents enjoyed an evening celebration that began with a parade and ended with a fireworks show. A free-will donation hot dog dinner, booths and games for kids and adults alike were draws for the event, but it was likely that many saw the evening as a way to reconnect with friends as signs of the COVID-19 pandemic eased.
