LA CYGNE – The City of La Cygne is urging residents who have not yet filled out a stormwater survey to please take time to do so.
City Clerk Jodi Wade told the La Cygne City Council on Wednesday, Sept. 7, that the city needed more residents to turn in the surveys. Once enough surveys are gathered, they will be turned over to a company that will then draft a runoff plan for the city.
The surveys will help determine which areas stormwater pools in and what will need to be done to eliminate the problem. This may be more critical as storm drains that were connected to the city’s sewer system are being disconnected as part of the Sewer Rehabilitation Project now underway in the city.
To complete a survey, residents can pick up a paper copy at City Hall, or they can go online the the city’s website to fill out the survey. Here is a link to that survey: https://www.cityoflacygne.org/stormwater-master-plan .
