Updated: May 24, 2022

Susan Barrett has been named manager of three clinics in Linn County operated by the Community Health Center of Southeast Kansas (CHC/SEK). She will manage the clinics in La Cygne, Pleasanton and Mound City.

Barrett and her husband Doug live on a farm in rural Parker. She attended Prairie View High School and graduated from Pittsburg State University. Both of her grown sons also graduated from Prairie View.

She previously worked for a mental health center in Paola, for Tri-Ko in Osawatomie and for other health care providers. She is a volunteer board member for Ray of Hope, a non-profit organization in Linn County that serves children in need.

A native of England, Barrett moved to the United States as a child. She has relatives who live in England and she enjoys traveling to visit them.

Her other passions outside of work include walking and jogging on trails, taking her paddle board out, and spending time with her family, friends and Duke, her Labrador retriever.
