
Prairie View seniors awarded $592K in scholarships

Graduating seniors from Prairie View High School will receive more than $592,000 in scholarships as they head off to college or trade schools. In a senior awards ceremony on Wednesday, May 18, 24 members of the Class of 2022 were honored.
Some of the top scholarship winners were:
Hallie Snyder with two four-year scholarships to Baker University
Kinley Baker with a four-year scholarship to Mid-America Nazarene University
Kylee Eastwood with a four-year wrestling scholarship to William Penn University
Rylee Boone with a four-year softball scholarship to the University of Western Illinois
Jane Hough with a four-year track scholarship to Emporia State University
Lauren Aust with a four-year scholarship to Kansas State University.
Recipients of two-year scholarships to Fort Scott Community College included Kaden Stroup for livestock; Makenzie Brown, Payton Core, Josh Martin, and Gage Pugh for cheer; Brooklyn Moore for volleyball; and Logan Minden for rodeo.
Neosho County Community College gave two-year scholarships to Braxton Stainbrook and Jessica Petric for softball.
