Sheriff's report for Dec. 12
MOUND CITY – On Monday, Dec. 5, the Linn County Sheriff’s report read by commissioners showed that the sheriff’s office had received more than $40,000 for holding the Wyandotte County inmates.
On Dec. 5, the Linn County Justice Center received the first group of prisoners from the United States Marshall Service.
• Total prisoners at the Justice Center the past week were 53. There were 12
prisoners released the past week.
• No prisoners were sent to other facilities.
• Twenty-six prisoners were from other facilities.
• Total 911 calls were 92.
• There were 4,029 jail contacts.
• Total calls for service were 478.
• Total civil service papers served were 25.
• There were two vehicle identification number (VIN) inspections.
• Eight new cases (criminal, child in need of care, etc.) were opened.
• Four cases were closed.
• There were two vehicle crashes.
• There were 148 school resource officer (SRO) activities.
• Bailiff contacts were 160.
• Deputies responded to 14 reports of livestock out.
