Donna Kay Murray, age 81, Mound City, Kansas, passed away Sunday, December 21, 2025. She was born on February 24, 1944, in Twin Falls, Idaho, the daughter of Joseph and Lucinda Dean.


She was united in marriage to Mike Murray. She worked with him in the family owned concrete business. She also worked for the Ottawa Police Department as a clerk and dispatcher. She enjoyed crocheting and attended the Mound City First Baptist Church.


She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Phillip Murray, and two sisters, Ellen Hopkins, and Mary Lou Wise. Donna is survived by her husband, Mike Murray; two sons, Michael Evans and David Evans; a daughter, Dawna Evans; two stepdaughters, Christina Murray and Michelle Fennel; two sisters, Linda Deyatte and Patty Roberts; several grandchildren; and her dog, Snowy.


A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, February 24, 2026, at the Mound City First Baptist Church. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to service time at the Church. Memorial contributions are suggested to First Baptist Church Youth Ministry. Online condolences can be left at www.schneiderfunerals.com.
