Ambulance, fire report for week ending Aug. 31

MOUND CITY – The Linn County Commissioners reviewed the emergency services, ambulance and fire department, weekly reports on Tuesday, Sept. 3. 


The fire department report showed that there had been eleven calls the past week. The calls were five fire calls, four rescue and emergency services incidents and two good-intent calls.


There were 103 American Medical Response (AMR) calls from August 1-31 resulting in 56 transports.


The written monthly report shows that the average response time is 15 minutes 6 seconds. The calls by city were:


• Blue Mound, 10 calls, 3 transports

• Centerville, 5 calls, 1 transport

• La Cygne, 13 calls, 8 transports

• Linn Valley, 7 calls, 6 transports

• Mound City, 25 calls, 17 transports

• Parker, 12 calls, 5 transports

• Pleasanton, 24 calls, 13 transports

• Prescott, 4 calls, 3 transports


Response numbers and times for this time period by Commission Districts are:


District 1 - 24 response, 15 transports, 12 minutes 9 seconds, average response time

District 2 - 31 responses, 18 transports, 12 minutes 52 seconds, average response time

District 3 - 52 responses, 26 transports, 18 minutes 22 seconds, average response time
