October 4th–10th 2026 was National 4-H Week. The Busy Workers 4-H Club, along with other local clubs, created window displays

The Busy Workers display was at the Groom Shop and dentist office on Broadway

Street. Members put together window displays to showcase how much they love 4-H and that they encourage others to join.

To finish up 4-H Week they completed “48 hours of 4-H". On Saturday they built and rode on a float in the Sugar Mound Arts and Crafts Festival parade, honoring local veterans. On Sunday, members worked on a community service project by helping clean up the memorial garden near LaCygne city park.

The Busy Workers have an exciting 4-H year ahead. To learn more contact a club leader: Judy Patterson 816-799-7426 or Sammy Mills 816-898-2335.

The club also worked to clean up a memory garden in La Cygne. (Submitted photo)
