Carol Ann Hinote, age 78, of Osawatomie, Kansas, passed away Saturday, February 14, 2026, at North Point Skilled Living in Paola, Kansas.
Carol was born November 22, 1947, in Garden City, Kansas. She was one of three children born to Alexander and Helen F. (Abel) Giesick. Carol spent the majority of her childhood in Hoisington, KS. Then the family moved to Kansas City, KS, where she attended Turner High School, graduating with the Class of 1965. She later earned her associate degree from Fort Scott Community College.
On August 14, 1965, Carol was united in marriage to Lonny W. Hinote at the Metropolitan Avenue Methodist Church in Kansas City, Kansas. They made their home in Shawnee for a short time before moving to Paola in 1972, where they lived on a small farm and raised their family. To this union three children were born: Steve, Chris, and Dea.
Carol worked for nearly 25 years as a Case Manager with Tri-Ko Inc, where she dedicated herself to helping others and made many lasting connections. She was also a guardian for a number of people over the years.
Carol and Lonny enjoyed traveling and camping together through the years. Carol especially loved crafts and crocheting and shared her talents with many. She was a devoted member of the United Methodist Church of Paola for 53 years, serving in numerous capacities. Above all, her greatest joy was spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Homer Giesick; and her sister, Marilyn Herrera.
Survivors include her husband of 60 years, Lonny Hinote of the home; her children, Steve (Kristi) Hinote, Chris (Jeanne) Hinote, and Dea (Ed) Beaudry; two granddaughters, Kaitlynn (Mateo) Valadez and Emilee (Chance) Edwards; and two great-grandchildren, Mateo Lynn Valadez and Eleanor Edwards.

Visitation is Friday, February 20, 2026 from 10:00 - 11:00 am., First United Methodist Church of Paola, 209 South Silver Street, Paola, KS 66071. Service is Friday, February 20, 2026
11:00 am - 12:00 pm at First United Methodist Church of Paola. Burial at Osawatomie Cemetery.
