Cathy Diane (Boone) Miller

Cathy Diane (Boone) Miller, age 73, of Paola, Kansas, passed away peacefully at her home with her children by her side on Monday, April 7, 2026. She was born on November 24, 1952, the daughter of Irvin and Esther Croghan Boone in Arcadia, California. She later moved to La Cygne, Kansas, where she spent most of her life. She then married, Myron Coons and moved to Olathe, Kansas, and had two children, Jason Coons and Kim Coons.

She then married J.R. Miller and had one daughter, Richelle (Steve) Hook. Cathy owned a couple of restaurants over the years, Cathy’s Steakhouse and Lounge in La Cygne, Kansas, and Spurs Steakhouse in Osawatomie, Kansas. She worked many years at the Marriott in Overland Park, Kansas as a banquet server.

She worked at Vintage park as a cook in Osawatomie, Kansas. She also had done a lot of catering. She loved flowers, quilting and cooking.

She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Jerry, Kenny and Ronnie Boone; and four sisters, Sally Malone, Wanda Hood, Wanneta, and Joyce Hensley. Cathy is survived by her three children, six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren and her brother, Danny Boone.
