Charles Michael Bruch, 75, passed away peacefully on April 6, 2025, at Olathe Medical Center. Mike, as he was known to friends and family, was born January 1, 1950, to Elder and Pauline (Shults) Bruch in Paola, KS.


After high school Mike served as a Sergeant in the U.S. Air Force servicing aircraft in Oregon and North Dakota. Mike worked as a Postal carrier in Miami and Johnson counties for over 20 years. On January 30, 1981, Mike wed Geneva (Waln). They made their home in Paola. Their eldest son, Elijah was born in 1984 followed by Samuel in 1991. In 1995 their family moved to Beagle, KS.


A lifelong lover of music and mechanics, Mike played guitar and worked on motorcycles. As an avid rider he and Geneva made the yearly trip to Sturgis, SD. He enjoyed sci-fi and fantasy entertainment, making sure his sons, nieces and nephews had all seen Star Wars.


Mike is survived by his sons Elijah Michael Bruch (Cassie) and Samuel Lee Bruch (Jessica). Mike was preceded in death by his parents and his wife Geneva Lea Bruch.


Visitation will be April 14, 2025, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Dengel & Son Mortuary, 305 N. Pearl St., Paola, Ks. Memorial Service will be the following day, April 15th at 9:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church, 207 E Wea St., Paola, Ks.
