Cynthia Eileen “Cindy” Staton, age 67, Prescott, Kansas, passed away November 26, 2024. She was born on March 31, 1957, in Fort Scott, Kansas, the daughter of James Willaim and Jean Rae Long Mayhugh.


She graduated from Jayhawk Linn High School in the Class of 1975. She attended Prescott United Methodist Church. Cindy enjoyed going to the casino. She liked to crochet and made crocheted blankets for numerous babies.


She was preceded in death by her parents and an infant brother, Ronald Morton Mayhugh. Cindy is survived by her son, Jay Orr(Regan); a brother, Andy Mayhugh(Karla); a sister, Sheila Jackson(Jesse); and two grandchildren, Michael and Addison Orr.


A Celebration of Life will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, December 7, 2024, at the Prescott United Methodist Church. The family will greet friends following the service.
