Commission receives update on park finances

MOUND CITY – The Linn County commissioners reviewed the September and year-to-date information for the Linn County Park on Monday, Oct. 7.

The September 2024 receipts for the Linn County Park were almost $36,100. The receipts come from marina sales, marina food sales, cabin rental, boat fees, Kansas Department of Parks and Wildlife fees, Airbnb, and permit and user fees. 


The September expenditures were nearly $27,100 for a positive balance of about $9,000. Expenditures include personnel services, contractual, commodities and capital outlay but not employee benefits, which are paid under a separate fund by the county.


The year-to-date receipts were $245,200 and the expenditures were more than $214,400 showing a positive balance of nearly $30,800.
