April 25, 1946 — June 28, 2025
Crosby, Texas

Diane Marie Lewis, 79, formerly Diane Marie Davis, went to her heavenly home on June 28, 2025, in Houston, Texas. She was born to parents Harold Frederick Davis and Inez Josephine Anderson on April 25, 1946, in Providence, Rhode Island.
Diane loved her Lord and was a devoted member of Glendale Baptist Church in Houston, Texas. Her devout faith led her to use her accomplished piano talents to provide music for her church as a pastor’s wife, church pianist for fifty years, nursery worker, and women’s ministries. She will be dearly missed by all the lives she touched.
Diane is preceded in death by her parents. She is lovingly survived by her husband, Pastor Robert Clifford Lewis; son, Joshua Byron Lewis; grandchildren, Joshua Jonathan Lewis Jr. Age 15, Jesus Emmanuel Lewis Age 9, Eliza Suzette Lewis Age 7; brothers Fredrick Charles Davis and Russell John Davis of Osawatomie, Kansas; and other extended family members and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, July 10, 2025, at Sterling-White Funeral Home in Crosby, Texas. On Saturday, July 12th, Diane will be laid to rest next to her parents in Osawatomie Cemetery under the direction of Eddy-Birchard Funeral Home in Osawatomie, Kansas.
She was salutatorian in her senior year in High School, a music major in piano, regional beauty contestant, and graduate of Kansas State Teacher’s College (now Pittsburg State University) in Pittsburg, Kansas, and taught high school and private piano lessons for many years. She worked as a secretary for Campus Crusade for Christ’s Expo ’72. One of her real loves was dog rescue and placement: she found happy homes for many, many dogs for many years.
