On Sunday, Aug. 3, the Linn County Dog Club sponsored the 4-H Dog Show at the fair. It was a fun affair where families cheered for their kids and dogs alike.

The competitors took their canines through obedience trials, rally obedience trials, agility trials, and finally a costume contest.

The kids and the dogs demonstrated great restraint and obedience as each trial took place. Parents coached a little from the sidelines but were obviously proud of the effort their kids had put into the training. Dogs and trainers showed the effort that had been put into the year.

The costume contest provided a comic relief to the trial competitions. Costumes ranged from hunters to Wizard of Oz, to the Statue of Liberty. The Statue of Liberty won the contest.

Congratulations to all members of the Dog Club for a great presentation and to all of the contestants who provided a good show.
