MOUND CITY – The Linn County Commissioners heard weekly reports from the fire department and emergency services on Monday, April 15.
Commission Chair Jason Hightower brought up the fire truck that Linn County Fire Chief Randy Hegwald received permission to look at purchasing last week.
Hightower asked what truck he was looking at replacing.
Hegwald explained that it was to replace the oldest tender truck that the county had, which was sitting at the Mound City station. He said it has a damaged tank and other problems. He added that it was the first truck on the list to be replaced.
American Medical Response (AMR) operations manager reported that the total for April calls was 48 with 23 transports, one was transported by flight. The calls by city were:
• Blue Mound, 8 calls, 2 transports
• Centerville, 1 call, 0 transports
• La Cygne, 9 calls, 6 transports
• Linn Valley, 2 calls, 1 transport
• Mound City, 13 calls, 1 transport
• Parker, 1 call, 1 transport
• Pleasanton, 10 calls, 9 transports
• Prescott, 4 calls, 3 transports
