Law enforcement bookings, March 1 - 29, 2024

Below is a summary of persons recently taken into custody by Linn County law enforcement officers and booked into the Linn County jail. All of the persons listed are presumed innocent until proven guilty.


March 29

• Jennifer Spurlock, La Cygne, was taken into custody by the La Cygne Police Department for alleged failure to appear in court.


March 27

• Christian Sanders, Sedalia, Mo., was taken into custody by the Linn County Sheriff’s Office for alleged vehicles; unlawful Acts; e.g., registration; operate a motor vehicle without a valid license; equipment of vehicles; unlawful acts. 


March 25

• Zachary Kelly, La Cygne, was taken into custody by the Linn County Sheriff’s Office for alleged criminal damage to property; without consent value > $25,000. 


March 24

• Joshua Freels-Grove, Mound City, was taken into custody by the Pleasanton Police Department for alleged disorderly conduct; unknown circumstance.

• Jordan Bond, La Cygne, was taken into custody by the La Cygne Police Department for alleged criminal damage to property; without consent value < $1000; domestic battery; knowing or reckless bodily harm to family member. 


March 23

• Joseph Loper, Mound City, was taken into custody by the Linn County Sheriff’s Office for alleged aggravated endangering a child; reckless situation to child <18; aggravated endangering a child; reckless situation to child <18. 


March 22

• Jesse Jolliff, Pleasanton, was taken into custody by the Pleasanton Police Department for alleged probation violation.

• David Griffith, Fort Scott, was taken into custody by the Linn County Sheriff’s Office to be detained by judge’s order pending warrant.


March 18

• Marshal Dickson, La Cygne, was taken into custody by the La Cygne Police Department for alleged domestic battery; knowing rude physical contact with family member.

• Garrett Vanderwoude, Garnett, was taken into custody by the Linn County Sheriff’s Office for alleged traffic; failure to comply with citation; violation of protection order; unknown circumstance; probation violation; violation of protection order. 


March 17

• Randy Hensley, Kansas City, Mo., was taken into custody by the Linn County Sheriff’s Office for alleged possession of opiate, opium, narcotic or certain stimulant; vehicle liability insurance; Liability coverage required; unlawful use of turn signals; defective tail lamp on motor.

• Brandon Boch, La Cygne, was taken into custody by the La Cygne Police Department for alleged driving while suspended; unlawful use of turn signals; vehicles; operate vehicle without registration or with expired tag; vehicle liability.


March 16

• Cade Shay, Paola, was taken into custody by the Parker Police Department for alleged failure to appear in court. 


March 15

• John Burgess, Butler, Mo., was taken into custody by the Pleasanton Police Department for alleged driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol; blood/breath .08 or greater; failure to dim headlights; refusal to submit test for drugs or alcohol.

• Dameona Lewis, Leavenworth, Kan., was taken into custody by the Linn County Sheriff’s Office to be held for another agency.

• Kelly Gray, Kansas City, Mo., was taken into custody by the Linn County Sheriff’s Department to be held for another agency.


March 13

• Wesley Self, Pleasanton, was taken into custody by the Pleasanton Police Department for alleged display/possess fictitious/revoked/suspended drivers license; use/possess with intent to use drug paraphernalia into human body.

• Clay Hart, Pleasanton, was taken into custody by the Linn County Sheriff’s Office for alleged vehicles; operate vehicle without registration or w/ expired tags/possess with intent to use drug paraphernalia into human body; criminal carry.


March 11

• Dakota Brewer, Frontenac, was taken into custody by the Linn County Sheriff’s Office for alleged possession of opiate, opium, narcotic or certain stimulant; possession of marijuana; use/possess with intent to use drug paraphernalia into human body.

• Adreinne Castillo, Frontenac, was taken into custody by the Linn County Sheriff’s office for alleged use/possess with intent to use drug paraphernalia into human body; vehicle liability insurance; knowingly drive uninsured vehicle.


March 10

• Wyatt Carr, Rich Hill, Mo., was taken into custody by the Linn County Sheriff’s Office for alleged reckless driving; driving under the influence of drugs/alcohol; blood/breath .08 or greater. criminal damage to property; Misdemeanor. 


March 9

• Jada Looney, Pleasanton, was taken into custody by the Pleasanton Police Department for alleged domestic battery; knowing rude physical contact with family member. 


March 8

• Brianna Austin, Hume, Mo., was taken into custody by the Linn County Sheriff’s Office for alleged failure to appear in court.

• Angela Owens, Independence, Mo., was taken into custody by the Linn County Sheriff’s Office for alleged failure to appear in court.

• Charles Larson, Mound City, was taken into custody by the Linn County Sheriff’s Office for alleged possession of opiate, opium, narcotic or certain stimulant; possession of marijuana; driving while a habitual violator.


March 7

• Jeremiah Wallace, Mapleton, was taken into custody by the Linn County Sheriff’s Office for an alleged probation violation.

• Harley Nichols Jr., La Cygne, was taken into custody by the La Cygne Police Department for alleged vehicle liability insurance; liability coverage required; maximum speed limits; driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol; incapable of safely driving.

• Aeneas Smith, Pleasanton, was taken into custody by the Linn County Sheriff’s Office for alleged failure to appear in court. 


March 2

• Michael Morris, Mound City, was taken into custody by the Linn County Sheriff’s Office for alleged interference with a law enforcement officer and obstruction of the service of a felony warrant.

• Charlie Duncan, Harrisonville, Mo., was taken into custody by the Pleasanton Police Department for alleged driving with a suspended or revoked license and possession of marijuana.

• Nikita Schulz, La Cygne, was taken into custody by the Linn County Sheriff’s  Office for alleged interference with a law enforcement, obstruction of the service of a felony warrant, criminal damage to property to injure or defraud value, $1,000 to $25,000.


March 1

• Ira Caruthers, Pleasanton, was taken into custody by the Pleasanton Police Department for alleged driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol, breath test .08 or greater.

• Lesvin Cruz-Herrera, Cincinnati, Ohio, was taken into custody by the Linn County Sheriff’s Office for allegedly operating a motor without a valid license, attempting to flee a law enforcement officer, unsafe turning - failure to give the proper signal.
