Geneva Darlene Jennings, age 85, Pleasanton, Kansas, passed away Sunday, October 12, 2025. She was born on November 15, 1939, at Trading Post, Kansas, the daughter of Charles and Daisy Rittinghouse Purdy. She graduated from Pleasanton High School.

She was united in marriage to Jack Jennings on November 23, 1957. He preceded her in death on July 19, 2008. She worked at Braemoors, congregate meals, and worked with her husband as well.

She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Russell Purdy, Jerry Purdy, and infant Buford Purdy, and a sister Sharon Johnson. Geneva is survived by a son, John Jennings, a niece, Tammy Pruitt, and extended family and friends.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, October 18, 2025, at the Schneider Funeral Home Pleasanton Chapel. Burial in the Pleasanton Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 1 p.m. to service time at the Pleasanton Chapel. Memorial contributions are suggested to the American Heart Association.
