George W. Marshall

George W. Marshall, 76, formerly of Pleasanton, Kansas, passed away suddenly and quietly on Friday, September 4, 2026, in hospice care at Joplin, Missouri, after a battle with pancreatic cancer.

A veteran of the Vietnam War, he is survived by his wife Frances; their children, Joshua Marshall, Charity Burk, and Bowen Marshall; grandchildren, Peytonn and Prestonn Burk, Alexis Munson, Jackson Marshall, and Abigail and Jarred Conner. George is also survived by his brother, Arnold Marshall; his sister, Cindy Tustin; three great-grandchildren; nephews, Jacob and Seth Marshall and Mike Kreiger; and a niece, Beth Redden. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wallace and Betty Marshall.

George lived a complicated life, and we are comforted knowing that he is finally at peace with the Lord. A memorial service will be held in the coming weeks at Battlefield Cemetery, Pleasanton, KS.
