Hamilton, Johnson win Republican primary races

MOUND CITY – Linn County Commissioner Jim Johnson took the next step to retaining his county commission seat in District 3 by winning the Republican primary on Tuesday. Alison Hamilton won the Republican nomination for the District 2 seat.

And former county commissioner Rick James (R-La Cygne) essentially clinched the race to succeed Trevor Jacobs as the next person to represent the 4th District to the Kansas House of Representatives.
