Harold James Holmquist Jr., age 66, of Osawatomie, Kansas, passed away on Friday, April 11, 2025, at Miami County Medical Center.

Harold was born on April 13, 1958, in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He was the second of ten children born to Harold James and Luella Ann (Hamlin) Holmquist. He spent his childhood in Pratt, Kansas, surrounded by a large and loving family.

In September 2022, Harold and Wilma Bushnell celebrated their love with a commitment ceremony. Their bond was strong, and Harold found joy in every moment spent by her side.

A true craftsman at heart, Harold enjoyed working with his hands. He spent time woodworking, building model cars, and was always up for a game of cards or a good western. Known for his playful spirit, Harold loved to joke around and took special delight in catching people off guard with a good scare—always followed by his signature laugh.

Harold was happiest in the company of those he loved, especially Wilma. Whether working on a project or just enjoying a quiet evening, being together was what mattered most to him.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Dwayne and Roger Holmquist.

Harold is survived by his partner, Wilma Bushnell; his siblings, Robert (Annette) Holmquist, Brenda (Jim) Brozek, Delbert Holmquist, Danny (Vada) Holmquist, Sandra Holmquist, and Roy (Bobby) Holmquist. He also leaves behind many extended family members and friends who will miss him dearly.
