MOUND CITY – On Monday, Feb. 6, the Linn County Commissioners heard the weekly report from the Linn County Health Department Administrator Missy Lancaster.

Lancaster reported that the nurses would be gone from the health department next Thursday, Feb. 16, for the Regional Public Health Meeting in Chanute. Other upcoming conferences they will be attending are the Governor’s Conference at the end of March and an immunization conference in June.

Lancaster told the commissioners that there was another week before the deadline for the health department sign bids to be in. She said she had received one bid so far.

Since Lancaster was unable to attend last week’s commission meeting, she gave the health department number for the past two weeks.

Lancaster reported that one COVID test had been given, two COVID booster shots, there were 22 women, infant and children (WIC) contacts, one family planning contact, two nutrition education contacts and four childhood immunizations.
