Health department to offer prenatal class for moms-to-be

PLEASANTON – The Linn County Health Department is hosting a prenatal class for mothers-to-be this Thursday, Jan. 18 from 10 a.m. to noon, at its headquarters at 11240 Tucker Road in Pleasanton.


“Becoming a Mom” will give expectant mothers a chance to interact with other pregnant women and discover more about common pregnancy experiences, including what to expect during labor and delivery.


The classes is for first-time moms or women who have already had children because each devilry experience is different and create new challenges for the woman. 


The classes use the March of Dimes “Becoming a Mom/Comenzando bien curriculum and is supported by the Kansas Department of Health and Environment.


Expectant moms can register by calling the department at 913-352-6640, or scan the QR code on the ad in this week’s Linn County Journal.
