“Because motherhood is better with a village,” is the tagline that the Linn County Health Department is using to promote The Mom Collective. Promoted as a place for moms and little ones to connect, unwind and meet other moms, The Mom Collective will get its start next week on Wednesday, Oct. 7 from 1 to 2 p.m., at the health department, 11240 Tucker Road in Pleasanton.

Health Department Director Amanda Snyder said each gathering will be different. Some of the activities will include stroller walks, crafts, playtime, mom chats, discussion of pelvic floor wellness and other health-related topics.

Prospective attendees can come as come as they are, and the sessions are free.

“No pressure. No perfect parenting. Just moms supporting mom through every season of motherhood,” the flyer promoting the gathering.
