Homecoming queen, king crowned at Pleasanton

Seniors Zander Cox and Landry George were named 2022 Pleasanton High School Homecoming king and queen prior to the football game against Southeast on Friday, Sept. 30. Staley Parker and Azaylah Miller served as crown bearers for the event. The PHS Blu-Jay football team shut out the Southeast Lancers, 46-0, and will face the Jayhawk-Linn Jayhawks in a cross-county game on Friday, Oct. 7. (Photos by Roger Sims/Linn County Journal)


The Homecoming court included crown bearers, front from left, Staley Parker and Azaylah Miller; back row, candidates Karsten McKee and Daylen Williams, king Zander Cox, queen Landry George, and candidates Dale Gillespie and Kara Umphenour.


Bailey Myrick, 2021 Homecoming queen, places the tiara on Landry George after 2021 king Judah Skipper gave the crown to Zander Cox. Both Myrick and Skipper returned from Liberty University in Virginia to attend the ceremony.
