Jayhawk Homecoming queen, king to be crowned Friday

Four senior boys and four senior girls are vying for the honor of being crowned Jayhawk Homecoming royalty this Friday, Sept. 27. Queen candidates are, front row from left, Mylee Leisure, Kenzley Nation, Callie Holt and Danielle Slinkard. Friday evening, Sept. 27, is Homecoming for Jayhawk-Linn High School. The crowning ceremony will be at 6:30 p.m. before the home football game against Erie.


Earlier in the day, the Homecoming parade down Main Street in Mound City will begin at 1:40 p.m. followed by a pep rally at the city amphitheater near Fifth and Main streets.


The Jayhawk sophomore class will be serving a tailgate feast at the game (see the flyer below).
