Thirty-nine seniors in the Jayhawk-Linn High School class or 2025 will pick up their diplomas, toss their mortarboard caps in the air and head out the doors of the school to the next phase of their lives following the graduation ceremony at 10 a.m. this Saturday, May 10.

This year, the school administration has selected two students as valedictorians: Callie Holt and Dayson Eastwood. Those two will be joined by six fellow members of the school's National Honor Society chapter in wearing cords or stoles to mark their academic success.

Seniors attended the school's baccalaureate service and senior awards presentation on Wednesday evening following a weekend senior trip to Branson, Mo., before returning Sunday evening. The senior breakfast on their final day of classes was held on Monday, May 5.

Of course, senior athletes still have competition events and practices to attend. Regional baseball, softball and golf tournaments begin May 19 and regional track won't begin until May 22. The final sporting event of the year will be the state track and field meet in Wichita on May 30-31.
