Linn County Sheriff's report for May 27

MOUND CITY – The Linn County’s Sheriff’s report for Monday, May 27, showed the current numbers for the week ending May 24 were:


• Total prisoners at the Justice Center the past week were 53. Fourteen prisoners were released the past week.

• Total prisoners in were 52.

• One prisoner was sent to another facility. (One competency evaluation) 

• Thirty-six prisoners were from other facilities (28 U.S. Marshal’s Service, 8 Wyandotte County, $3,004/day.) 

• Total 911 calls were 82.  

• There were 4,213 jail contacts.                                                                                                         • Total calls for service were 695. 

• Total civil service papers served were 16.

• There were five vehicle identification number (VIN) inspection.

• Thirty new cases (criminal, child in need of care, etc.) were opened.

• Eight cases were closed.

• There were six vehicle crashes.

• There were 38 SRO activities. (All schools were out for summer break last week)

• There were 236 bailiff contacts resulting in 18 calls for service.                                                   • Three reports of livestock out were received.
