Linn County Sheriff's report for week ending April 12

MOUND CITY – The Linn County’s Sheriff’s report for Monday, April 14, showed the current numbers for the week ending April 12 were:

• Total prisoners at the Justice Center the past week were 49. Fourteen prisoners were released the past week.

• Total prisoners in were 48.

• One prisoner was sent to another facility. (One competency evaluation) 

• Thirty-nine prisoners were from other facilities (29 U.S. Marshal’s Service, 4 Wyandotte County, 3 other, $2,972/day)

• Total 911 calls were 59. 

• There were 3,631 jail contacts.                                                                                                         • Total calls for service were 682. 

• Total civil service papers served were 21.

• There were 14 vehicle identification number (VIN) inspections.

• Twenty-seven new cases (criminal, child in need of care, etc.) were opened.

• Four cases were closed.

• There were six vehicle crashes.

• There were 132 SRO activities. 

• There were 119 bailiff contacts resulting in 18 calls for service. 

• Four reports of livestock out were called in.
