Linn County Sheriff's report for week ending May 3

MOUND CITY – The Linn County’s Sheriff’s report for Monday, May 5, showed the current numbers for the week ending May 3 were:


• Total prisoners at the Justice Center the past week were 48. Thirteen prisoners were released the past week.

• Total prisoners in were 47.

• One prisoner was sent to another facility. (One competency evaluation) 

• Thirty-three prisoners were from other facilities ( 27 U.S. Marshal’s Service, 6 Wyandotte County, 0 other, $2,781/day)

• Total 911 calls were 73. 

• There were 3,793 jail contacts.                                                                                                         • Total calls for service were 621. 

• Total civil service papers served were 13.

• There were two vehicle identification number (VIN) inspection.

• Thirty-one new cases (criminal, child in need of care, etc.) were opened.

• Seven cases were closed.

• There were four vehicle crashes.

• There were 105 SRO activities. 

• There were 117 bailiff contacts resulting in 41 calls for service. 

• Five reports received of livestock out.
