Linn County Sheriff's report for week ending Nov. 16

MOUND CITY – The Linn County’s Sheriff’s report for Monday, Nov. 18, showed that the current numbers for the week ending Nov. 16 were:


• Total prisoners at the Justice Center the past week were 56. Six prisoners were released the past week.

• Total prisoners in were 55.

• Two prisoners were sent to another facility. 

• Forty-three prisoners were from other facilities (21 U.S. Marshal’s Service, 21 Wyandotte County, 1 Other) ($3,265.50/day)

• Total 911 calls were 73. 

• There were 4,763 jail contacts.                                                                                                         • Total calls for service were 631. 

• Total civil service papers served were 20.

• There were seven vehicle identification number (VIN) inspections.

• Twenty new cases (criminal, child in need of care, etc.) were opened.

• Five cases were closed.

• There were thirteen vehicle crashes.

• There were 103 School Resource Officer activities.

• There were 74 bailiff contacts resulting in 36 calls for service. 

• Four reports were received about livestock being out.
