Linn County Sheriff's report for week ending Sept. 13

MOUND CITY – The Linn County’s Sheriff’s report for Monday, Sept. 16 showed that the current numbers for the week ending Sept. 14 were:


• Total prisoners at the Justice Center the past week were 68. Eight prisoners were released the past week.

• Total prisoners in were 67.

• One prisoner was sent to another facility. 

• Forty-nine prisoners were from other facilities (29 US Marshals Service, 20 Wyandotte County) ($3,902.00/day)

• Total 911 calls were 71. 

• There were 4,546 jail contacts.                                                                                                       • Total calls for service were 504. 

• Total civil service papers served were five.

• There were three vehicle identification number (VIN) inspections.

• Twenty-one new cases (criminal, child in need of care, etc.) were opened.

• Two cases were closed.

• There were five vehicle crashes.

• There were 120 SRO activities.

• There were 103 bailiff contacts resulting in 42 calls for service. 

• Received 10 reports of livestock out.
