The Linn Valley Community Church is announcing its 23rd Annual Women's Retreat with the theme "Taming the Tongue Through the Power of Christ." This year’s retreat will be held on Saturday, Sept. 7, from 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., at Linn Valley Community Church, 86 S. Linn Valley Dr.
Registration is now open online, and we encourage all women to sign up and share this wonderful opportunity with their friends. Take advantage of securing your spot at the retreat.
The retreat will begin with registration and fellowship at 7 a.m., followed by breakfast served by the Men of Linn Valley Community Church and catered by Richard Nelson.
The day's activities include an icebreaker, giveaway drawings, praise and worship led by Tresa Mote, skits, testimonies, Bible study, and a keynote session by Jada Hodgson, a pastor and attorney. Attendees will also enjoy a catered lunch by Richard Nelson, a prayer box session, and campfire reflections.
This year's theme, "Taming the Tongue Through the Power of Christ," will focus on overcoming the challenges of communication influenced by frustration, resentment, anger, or fear. Reflecting on James 3:8-10, the retreat aims to provide practical and spiritual insights on speaking with grace and love.
Pastor David Van Bebber shared his excitement for the event, stating, "Our annual women's retreat is a special time for reflection, growth, and fellowship. We look forward to seeing how God will work in the hearts and lives of the women who attend."
The retreat director Robin Zumbrunnen added, “God has used this annual retreat to minister to hundreds of women since 2001. It’s a precious day of spiritual renewal, love, and fellowship.”
