Michael James Parks, age 51 of Pleasanton, Kansas passed away at the University of Kansas Medical Center on June 23, 2024.  Michael was born the son of Marlin Ray and Linda Harris Parks on October 6, 1972 in Harrisonville, Missouri.


He graduated from Harrisonville High School.  He worked in construction as a driller and blaster. Michael enjoyed fishing, watching westerns and loved the Kansas City Chiefs.


He was preceded in death by his father and a sister, Susan Parks.  He is survived by his mother, a nephew, Luke and two nieces, Kaylee and Pam.


There are no services scheduled at this time.  The family suggests memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society, these may be sent in care of the Schneider Funeral Home P.O. Box 525 Pleasanton, Kansas 66075.  Online condolences may be left at www.schneiderfunerals.com.
