Motor vehicle department to close Dec. 21 through Dec. 27; property taxes due on Dec. 20

MOUND CITY – The Linn County Motor Vehicle Department will close for a week around Christmas for the holiday as well as for a facelift, according to Janet Kleweno, Linn County Treasurer.


The department will be open regular hours through Tuesday, Dec. 20, but will be closed down for painting the office and refinishing the floors on Wednesday, Dec. 27. It will remain closed through the Christmas holiday and will not reopen until Wednesday, Dec. 28.


Kleweno also said that property tax payments are due on Dec. 20.
