Getting out for a stroll and reading a book is back in March.

The Mound City Library's Book Walk for March is Knight Owl, a New York Times best seller and a Caldecott Honor Award winner picture book by Christopher Denise about an owl who builds strength and confidence in himself and meets the challenge of a real hero with wits, humor, and heart.

Here are some notes about the book on Amazon:

"Since the day he hatched, Owl dreamed of becoming a real knight. He may not be the biggest or the strongest, but his sharp nocturnal instincts can help protect the castle, especially since many knights have recently gone missing. While holding guard during Knight Night Watch, Owl is faced with the ultimate trial—a frightening intruder. It’s a daunting duel by any measure. But what Owl lacks in size, he makes up for in good ideas."

Here is the guide to reading the book as you walk with your family or friends.
