ree

PLEASANTON – The city of Pleasanton will be sponsoring a fireworks display on Saturday, July 1, at Stegge Lake west of the Pleasanton schools. The fireworks show will start at dusk.

The city is also sponsoring a free swim day at the city’s swimming pool on Saturday as well.

According to city code, fireworks can be set off from 8 a.m. to midnight every day between June 27 and July 4.

On Tuesday, June 27, city officials post on its Facebook page that fireworks cannot be lit upon city streets or sidewalks.

“Please clean up any debris promptly and no shooting of fireworks after midnight,” the post said. “Police will be enforcing fireworks curfew as well as ensuring you are not setting them off on city property, streets, or sidewalks. Have a safe and enjoyable 4th!”
