More than 200 parents, grandparents, siblings and friends gathered in front of the Prairie View Performing Arts Center to watch dozens of students dressed in their finest walk in to the PVHS 2026 prom.

Unlike recent years, it wasn't cold or raining. In fact, the mild spring evening was perfect even though rain clouds threatened to the west. But the wind. The wind returned again this year, and while as strong in past years, it still played havoc.

Despite that, however, the crowd of well-wishers weren't disappointed as youth, beautiful dresses and carefully coordinated ties and coats made the event one to remember.
